Simple, anonymous analytics
ChainOn uses first-party analytics to understand how the game is played and improve it over time. We do not use advertising trackers or sell analytics data.
What we collect
A random browser identifier, game starts and endings, accepted answers, scores, chain length, hints, unlocked letters, country-capital pairs, device category, general country when available, and referral source. An unfinished game is saved for up to 24 hours so you can continue it.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for your name or email, save complete IP addresses, or retain the exact text of rejected answers. The anonymous identifier works only for ChainOn and cannot follow you across other websites.
Why we collect it
Analytics help measure games played, returning players and where the game can be improved. The same foundation may later support optional features such as personal streaks, achievements and leaderboards.
Retention
Analytics records are retained for up to 12 months unless they are removed sooner. Unfinished game saves expire after 24 hours. You can opt out and delete the anonymous history connected to this browser below.
